Nokomis is a town along the Gulf Coast of Florida, located south of Osprey and just north of Venice. Oscar Scherer State Park boarders Nokomis to the north and Myakka River State Park to the east.

Casey Key located in Nokomis and Osprey has some of the most impressive homes in all of Sarasota County.  Almost every property on Casey Key is a waterfront home.  Nokomis Beach on the south point of Casey Key is the beach many locals go to if they want to avoid the crowds of the tourist beaches in Sarasota.
